About Bethany:
Bethany is a coach, facilitator and speaker who has worked in the charity sector since 2011. She began her career in fundraising, working with organisations including the British Red Cross, Wales Millennium Centre and Frank Water, securing significant income through individual giving, major gifts, legacies and membership. This experience gives her a deep, practical understanding of the realities charity professionals face.
She founded Awen Coaching in 2020 to support fundraisers, leaders and freelancers to build sustainable careers without sacrificing their personal well-being. Her work focuses on helping people navigate pressure, complexity and transition, whether that means stepping into leadership, moving into freelance work, or simply finding a healthier and more sustainable way to work.
Bethany’s coaching provides a calm, supportive and gently challenging space to think clearly, gain perspective and make confident decisions. Clients often come to her feeling stretched, overwhelmed or uncertain, and leave with greater clarity, stronger boundaries and a renewed sense of direction.
Alongside her coaching work, Bethany hosts free monthly webinars for charity professionals and freelancers, creating accessible spaces for reflection, learning and honest conversation about what it takes to build a sustainable career in the sector.
As a former fundraiser herself, Bethany understands the emotional investment, responsibility and commitment that this work involves. Her coaching style is warm, practical and client-led, helping people make meaningful changes that last.
